This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to anyone who uses ClinicPro. It supplements (and is incorporated into) our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
1. You may not
- Use ClinicPro to send unsolicited marketing messages (spam) in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or any other applicable law.
- Send SMS or WhatsApp messages without proper opt-in consent from the recipient, or after they have opted out.
- Store or transmit data that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, or material that infringes intellectual property.
- Operate clinics that practice medicine without proper licensure, sell counterfeit pharmaceuticals, or perform procedures prohibited by your local regulator.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, RLS, rate limits, or any other security control.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or rate-abuse the platform; run automated load tests without written permission.
- Resell ClinicPro to third parties as a managed service without a written partnership agreement.
- Use ClinicPro to harass, threaten, or defame any person, including staff members, clients, or other ClinicPro users.
2. Messaging & deliverability
Email and SMS infrastructure is shared across all clinics. Sending practices that hurt deliverability for everyone — high bounce rates, high spam-complaint rates, sending to purchased lists — will result in suspension of your sending privileges, possibly without warning.
- Maintain a bounce rate below 5%. We will throttle or pause sending above 10%.
- Maintain a spam complaint rate below 0.3%. We will pause sending above 0.5%.
- Honor unsubscribes within 10 days. Our system honors them automatically; do not work around it.
3. Patient data handling
- Only collect patient information you have a legitimate clinical or business need for.
- Obtain informed consent before storing photos, treatment records, or signatures. ClinicPro provides consent templates; using them is your responsibility.
- Do not upload patient data belonging to clinics other than your own.
4. Resource usage
Each plan includes specific limits on staff, clients, locations, and storage. Plans are not designed for unlimited consumption. If your usage repeatedly exceeds plan limits or imposes unusual load on shared infrastructure, we will contact you to discuss an upgrade or custom agreement before taking enforcement action.
5. Reporting violations
To report a violation of this AUP, email abuse@clinicpro.io with as much detail as you can share. We investigate every report; we do not share the identity of the reporter with the subject of the report.
6. Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion, warn the offending account, throttle or suspend specific features (messaging, exports, API), suspend the entire account, or terminate the account. For serious violations (illegal content, abuse, security attacks) we will act immediately and notify you afterward.
